The furniture should be treated a few times per year with “Teak Shield” to maintain its protection against stains and water. This treatment helps prevent staining while preserving the natural appearance of the surface and allowing the wood to breathe. It also contains a built-in mold inhibitor. The impregnation helps maintain the teak’s grey patina. During winter storage, the furniture should be kept in a dry area, protected from temperature fluctuations. If stored in a damp and poorly ventilated environment, mold may form on the wood, which can be difficult to remove.
