Clean with a mild detergent and water. Do not use abrasives or cleaning products that contain bleach or ammonia. Avoid using standard household cleaners (often citrus-based), as they may contain acids that can damage the concrete. Traditional soft soap, either green or yellow, is an excellent cleaner for concrete, as it also helps to slightly recondition the surface. The furniture should be treated with wax once within the first two months after purchase and then every three to six months, depending on use and placement. We recommend “Spray Wax” from Leather Master. We advise our customers to treat their tabletops regularly, as the surface protection wears off over time. Extra caution is needed with new tabletops, as they are still in the intensive curing phase and are most vulnerable to staining during this time. When used outdoors, surface treatment becomes even more important, as moisture can penetrate the concrete. During the warmer months, this is not a problem, but if the furniture is exposed to moisture combined with cold, cracks and flaking—so-called frost damage—may occur. These types of damage are not considered valid for claims. Therefore, it is important to treat the furniture regularly to protect it. For winter storage, it is important that the furniture is kept under a roof and stored in a frost-free environment.
